RECIPE OF THE DAY
FELICIA SUZANNE'S CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING!
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9x9x2 square pan (about 10 cups). Combine the half and half and 2 cups of the chocolate chips in a sauce pan over low heat and whisk until smooth. Remove from heat and cool.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Add the sugar and whisk until smooth. Whisk in the salt, vanilla, Jack Daniels, and cooled chocolate mixture until smooth. Fold in the bread cubes.
Spoon half of the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips over the batter. Spoon the remaining batter into the pan. Bake until the pudding is set in the center, about 60 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool slightly before serving.
Makes 16 servings
